GRÜN Software Group takes over GQM Group

Aachen/Landshut, December 20.12.2022, XNUMX. The Aacheners GRÜN Software Group takes over all shares in GQM group, a leading MES software provider from Bavaria. GQM GmbH and GQM Software und Service GmbH from Landshut have been on the market for over 20 years and have developed a market-leading position as a software manufacturer in the field of production control as a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in the food industry. The aim of the partnership is to support the growth and further development of GQM and to be able to offer customers even better digitization solutions.

This was just as important to me as setting the course for the future,” says the founder and previous main shareholder of the GQM Group, Prof. Dr. Anton Auer. Today, the GQM companies employ more than 30 people and support around 150 software customers from the food and beverage industry, including Gerolsteiner, Zentis, Karwendel, Alete/Innfood, Bauer Group, Adelholzener Alpenquellen and breweries such as Paulaner, Weihenstephan, Flensburger and Oettinger.

The founder Anton Auer is moving to the company's newly established advisory board: "By moving to the advisory board, I am introducing my successor and can withdraw from the operational business, but will remain with the company as a consultant in the long term," says Auer. The longstanding managing director of GQM GmbH, Dr. Johannes Schraml will take on additional tasks in the future and manage the operational business of the entire GQM Group: “I look forward to my additional areas of responsibility. We will push the consistent further development of our products and services in order to convince even more customers of GQM”, confirms Managing Director Schraml.

The CEO of GRÜN Software Group, Dr. Oliver Grün is pleased about the cooperation and the new structure of GQM: "The GQM MES software and the industry expertise of the employees convinced us very much, many business-critical processes in production and quality assurance have been automated and controlled by the GQM software for well-known customers for decades. The software has also been upgraded to a very good technological standard thanks to a new development in recent years. Our joint new approach with Prof. Auer on the advisory board and Dr. Schraml in the operative business gives us access to all the expertise that we will need,” says Grün, looking positively to the future.
